Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Grill or Skillet

Ingredients

Honey Lime Marinade

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 limes juiced and zested
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika optional, for a smoky touch

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, lime zest, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Place the chicken in a large ziplock bag or dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken and coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 24 hours for deeper flavor).
  • Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off.
  • Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature 165°F).
  • For extra glaze, pour the remaining marinade into the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Spoon over the chicken before serving.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with fresh cilantro, lime wedges, and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Marinate overnight for maximum flavor. Serve with rice, salad, or in tacos for a delicious meal.
