Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  • Stir in the Quaker Old-Fashioned Oats and any optional add-ins like raisins or chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra chewy cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
